There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, enjoy the ambiance! Gardner Domestic Violence has decorated a tree for this event.
Join us on October for two very important events regarding Domestic Violence. At 10:00 am meet us at city hall with Mayor Hawke for the reading of the proclamation and 6:30 for a Vigil to honor the victims and support the survivors. This is a time where we can support the hurting.
To remember those who have lost their lives and to support the survivors. Have a conversation, support someone you know who is experiencing this. Become educated about what is abuse. Most of all send someone a smile, they may need it.
The reading of the Domestic Violence Proclamation by Mayor Hawke is supported by the Gardner criminal resources. The police dept, DA victim services.
WOMEN'S SUPPORT GROUP ROOM
The Voices of Truth Inc. was organized exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes. We strive to prevent and break the cycle of domestic violence in our community by providing educational services, collaboration and resources. We promote the importance of self-worth, self-empowerment and dignity. Through collaboration with individuals and organizations we aim to increase and intensify public awareness about this pervasive health risk in our midst. We envision Gardner and surrounding towns with a strong local network of individuals, businesses and faith communities dedicated and proactive toward making our City a Safer Place by greatly reducing incidents of domestic abuse. Through support groups and events in Gardner
As human beings, we are created for relationships from the moment of conception. From the moment of our birth, we form connections with other people for survival, nurture, and physical/emotional growth and well-being. When these basic connections do not work properly, a life-long struggle ensues, leaving a person frustrated, angry and most of all unhappy with hardly any understanding of what went wrong or what needs to be changed in themselves or in their relationships with others. Fortunately, our services focus on some of these relational struggles that are often a result of unhealthy family dynamics of the past. At Voices of Truth, we offer hope and encouragement to those seeking to make changes in their lives.
